Following the footsteps of Zomato who launched buy now pay later (BNPL) services for customers a few days ago, the online food delivery rival Swiggy is considering offering a service where customers can eat first and pay later. It has been noted from several customers who received a notification asking if they would like to order food and then settle bills towards the end of the month.

The registration of 11 depository participants has been cancelled by the SEBI on Monday to prevent the misuse of their registration with Sebi, without being a participant of a depository. The cancellation also includes the registration certificates of Karvy Stock Broking Ltd. and four other stock brokers. It was based on data from two key clinical trials in the United States and Mexico as well as in the UK that showed the vaccine was 90% effective against COVID-19. McDonald’s Corp's slow order preparation has made DoorDash Inc. raise its fees on its orders. The report says that this is in an effort by the delivery company to improve efficiency and cut losses. From next year, DoorDash will charge higher commissions to McDonald’s restaurants for orders that keep a delivery driver waiting.

Adani Group reported a profit of ₹22.96 crores for its airport businesses during the quarter ending on 31 December, compared to a ₹48.95 crore loss during the same period of the previous year, on the back of a recovery in air passenger traffic in the quarter. During the recently concluded December quarter, the company's airport business reported a revenue of ₹837.14 crores.

A 47.7% increase in consolidated net profit at Rs 4,558.39 crore was reported by Coal India for the quarter that ended on December 31, 2021. The growth in its net profit was attributed to the higher revenue from operations, Coal India has reported in its BSE filings today. Last year its total net profit was at Rs 3,085.39 crore in the corresponding period.

Jio has pumped $200 million in artificial intelligence-powered lock-screen platform Glance in its Series D funding round. Eicher Motors Ltd reported a consolidated net profit of Rs 456 crore for the third quarter ended December 2021, a decline of 14 per cent compared to the Rs 533 crore net it reported a year ago. On a sequential basis, the profit is higher by 22 per cent from Rs 373 crore reported in the previous quarter of the current financial year. The revenues have grown by 28 per cent.

World's largest defence company by sales, Lockheed Martin has decided to hold back its plans to buy Aerojet Rocketdyne Holdings Inc. after federal antitrust overseers last month sued to block the proposed $4.4 billion deal. Earlier, the company was hoping for this acquisition in building rocket motors for its own missile and space systems.
