Sensex drops 140 points lower as losses in auto, metal, FMCG stocks!

Indian indices finished their Monday session with losses, auto, FMCG and metal stocks continuing to experience selling pressure. IT stocks, however, reversed some of the losses, ending the day as top performer with a 0.6% gain. Nifty Midcap was up marginally while Nifty Smallcap fell by the same margin. Rupee weakened to a record closing low, ending lower against the US Dollar.
