The Income Tax department reports that in AY2023-24, over 30.75 lakh audit reports were filed on the e-filing portal by the due date of September 30. To facilitate taxpayers, extensive outreach campaigns with 55.4 lakh messages sent out via email, SMS and social media were used to create awareness, as well as user videos uploaded to the I-T website.
