India's April-June existing account deficit widens to 2.8% of GDP

On September 29, the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) said India's current account debt enlarged to $23.9 billion or 2.8 percent of gross domestic product (GDP) in the April-June quarter. The deficit widened from $13.4 billion or 1.5 percent of GDP in January-March 2022. India reported a current account surplus of $6.6 billion or 0.9 percent of GDP in the same quarter last year.
