Govt says 20% export duty on parboiled rice to continue beyond Mar 31

The government has extended the 20% duty on export of parboiled rice and duty-free import of yellow peas beyond March 31 to maintain domestic prices and adequate stock. The duty on parboiled rice was initially levied on August 25, 2023, and has been continuously extended since then. The notification from the finance ministry stated that there is no end date for the extension of the duty.
