Gig workers face unequal pay despite equal effort

A report by Genius HRTech found 47% of 1,550 surveyed professionals believe gig workers are paid less than permanent employees. 73% think gig workers should receive the same hourly pay for identical work. Employers justify pay gaps citing flexibility, absence of long-term benefits, or perceived lower skill levels, but 56% acknowledge this as the primary reason.
