IFC, a member of the World Bank group, and IFC Emerging Asia Fund (EAF) will invest Rs 556 crore in an affordable housing platform of realty firm Puravankara Ltd to develop up to four projects under the Puravankara group's affordable housing brand "Provident". Two of these four projects are planned in Kochi and Bengaluru with a saleable area of 4.5 million sq ft.

Mindspace Business Parks REIT bagged Rs 200cr by issuing debentures on a private placement basis. The company informed that the executive committee K Raheja Corp Investment Managers LLP, manager to Mindspace Business Parks REIT, approved the allotment of 2,000 NCDs of the face value of Rs 10 lakh each for an aggregate principal amount of Rs 200 crore on a private placement basis.

Videocon Industries will soon have a new owner as Twin Star Technologies which is promoted by billionaire Anil Agarwal's family. The debt-ridden firm's lenders have approved the resolution plan submitted by Twin Star to acquire Videocon. In the e-voting conducted on November 11, 2020, the CoC approved the Resolution Plan with 95.09% majority/voting share.

Lakshmi Vilas Bank is set to get delisted to tomorrow, after amalgamation with DBS Bank. The bank informed on NSE that members of the Exchange are hereby informed that the trading in the equity shares of Lakshmi Vilas Bank Limited shall be withdrawn (delisted) with effect from December 18, 2020. With effect from November 27, Lakshmi Vilas Bank has merged into DBS Bank.

Two Indian firms have bagged global tenders floated by Bangladesh to import one lakh tonnes of parboiled non-Basmati rice to overcome supply shortage and surge in rice prices. “While one firm has bagged the first tender, agreeing to sell 50,000 tonnes rice at $405 a tonne, the other firm will offer another 50,000 tonnes at $416,” said Rice Exporters Association (REA) President B V Krishna Rao.

State-run Coal India is aiming at substituting imported dry fuel of 80-85 million tonne with more domestic supplies in the current fiscal, an official said on Thursday. The miner has asked power plants in the coastal areas to submit proposals for a gradual increase of its supplies to these units to reduce foreign exchange outgo, the Coal India official said.

Tata Marcopolo Motors Limited (TMML), is a 51:49 JV formed in 2006 between the Tata Motors Ltd and Marcopolo S.A. After a successful venture in India, Marcopolo S.A has decided to exit from the JV.

Bridgestone India invested an undisclosed amount in tyre and fleet management startup Fleeca India to strengthen its position in the digital-based mobility solutions and to increase efficiencies of tyre usage. Such services assume importance as increasing number of fleet operators are seeking options like "pay per km" models when it comes to the procurement of tyres, Bridgestone India said.

Wonderla Holidays Ltd received a green signal from the Ramanagara Deputy Commissioner to resume operations of its theme park in Bangalore. The theme park will be open to the public again from December 18 onwards. The company has earlier opened the amusement park in Bengaluru on November 13 post-Covid-19 lockdown. However, due to the license renewal issue, the company had to close the park shortly.

The website of HSRP supplier Rosmerta Safety Systems was hacked on Wednesday hampering the booking of number plates and colour-coded stickers for nearly five hours. The website was not functional and had aberrations while navigation, showing it was unauthorisedly accessed and illegally hacked by someone. The site was deactivated by the company and an IT expert team was engaged to restore it.
