Godrej Properties Limited announced today that GRESB, an organization that provides Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) benchmarks for real estate organizations recognized Godrej Properties as a Real Estate Development Sector Leader both globally and in Asia. Godrej Properties has participated in the benchmark assessment since 2013 and achieved its highest score of 95 points this year.

Hindustan Aeronautics (HAL) on Monday issued commercial papers (CP) worth Rs2000cr. The issue will be available for 91 days before maturing on March 15, 2021. The company has set a discount rate of 3.25%. HAL's commercial paper will be listed on BSE. Notably, the paper is issued in favour of SBI Mutual Fund. The CP is a part of the fund-based limit of Rs10,000cr as approved by the Board.

Potato prices dropped by 40% at primary agricultural markets in northern India in the last 3 weeks as the new crop has begun arriving. Prices in UP’s Agra markets crashed below Rs 1,600 a quintal from around Rs 2,900-2750 on November 24-25. On December 14, potato at Fatehpur Agricultural Produce Marketing Committee (APMC) market was quoting at Rs 1,550 a quintal against Rs 2,750 on November 26.

Natural gas futures climbed to Rs 193.40 per mmBtu on December 14 as participants increased their long positions as seen by the open interest. Natural gas price had gained 0.42% last week on the MCX. The number of rigs drilling natural gas in the US rose by 2 to 79 for the week ending December 11, said Baker Hughes in its weekly report.

Jindal Steel & Power Limited (JSPL) registered a 15% y-o-y growth in standalone steel production to 6,14,000 tonnes in November 2020 as compared to 533,000 tonnes a year ago same month. VR Sharma, Managing Director, JSPL in a statement said, "Our performance is in line with the India Growth Story, Domestic Steel demand is rising in H2 FY 21 and so JSPL’s production.

Larsen & Toubro Ltd's construction arm bagged "crucial" contracts in the range of ₹1,500 crore- ₹2,500cr for its various businesses, the company stated in a regulatory filing on Monday. The orders were secured from clients for two of L&T Construction's businesses: Building & Factories (B&F) Business and Power Transmission & Distribution Business.

State-owned Power Grid Corporation was trading on a higher note on Monday after the company's board approved the interim dividend for FY21. Power Grid in its regulatory filing stated that the Board of Directors has approved the payment of Interim Dividend of Rs.5.00 per equity share of Rs. 10/- each (@50% of the paid-up equity share capital) for the Financial Year 2020-21.

Institutional investor Catamaran Ventures promoted Anviti Insurance Brokers Private Ltd on Monday said global insurance firm Aon has acquired 49% stake in it. The company, however, did not disclose the deal size. Aon provides a broad range of risk, retirement, and health solutions. The investment will enable Anviti to further strengthen its operations in the country.

Bharti AXA General Insurance on Monday said its GWP marginally declined to Rs 1,574 crore in the first half of the current financial year. In the corresponding period of the previous fiscal, its GWP stood at Rs 1,586 crore. The insurer's net profit stood at Rs 95 crore in the first six months of FY21 against the loss of Rs 90 cr in the corresponding fiscal period a year ago.

Hyundai Motor India received about 30,000 bookings for its remodelled premium hatchback i20 in last 40 days. The company is the second-largest passenger vehicle maker in the country and has already delivered 10,000 units of the model. Hyundai launched new i20 on November 5 priced between Rs 6.79 lakh and Rs 11.17 lakh. The fourth generation of the i20 comes with both petrol and diesel powertrains.
