IDFC First Bank posted a marginal 1.21% rise in YoY total consolidated revenues in the Dec-20 quarter at Rs4,835.86cr. Treasury income and wholesale banking revenues saw a sharp fall YoY. However, retail banking saw a sharp spike of over 25% compared to Dec-19. PAT for the Dec-20 quarter, turned around to a net profit of Rs137cr from a net loss of Rs-1,631cr in Dec-19.

TVS Motor Company on Saturday confirmed that the boards of TVS Holding Companies and TVS Investments and Holdings have approved a composite scheme of amalgamation and arrangement which is to be filed with the NCLT soon. TVS Motor Company CMD, Venu Srinivasan stated that the scheme will be filed with the Chennai Bench of the NCLT.

Thyrocare Technologies posted 30.7% growth in total revenues for the Q3-2020 on consolidated basis at Rs132.87cr. Taiwan’s Pegatron Corporation and Tata Electronics will invest separately in Tamil Nadu to make mobile phones and parts. Tata Electronics will invest ₹5,763 crore for making mobile phone components and Pegatron will invest ₹1,100 crore to make mobile phones as part of its phase I investment, the Tamil Nadu government said in a statement Friday.

SpiceJet, on January 30, announced 20 new flights on its domestic network. Among them, 16 new flights will connect Jaipur with different cities including Dehradun, Amritsar, Udaipur and Delhi among others. SpiceJet will also connect Jaipur with Goa via Surat. After connecting Pakyong with Delhi, the airline will now connect Pakyong with Kolkata under the government's UDAN scheme.

Two lithium battery-manufacturing plants would be set up in Karnataka to promote e-vehicles in order to reduce air pollution, Deputy Chief Minister of the state C N Ashwath Narayan said on Saturday. ‘Battery banks’ would be set up across the state, and they would work in a similar fashion as that of petrol bunks. The entire set-up would make e-vehicles cheaper.

SAIL has announced a consolidated net profit of Rs 1,468 crore in the quarter to December 2020, primarily on account of higher income. The company had a net loss of Rs 343.57 crore during the same quarter a year ago. During October-December, the company's total income jumped to Rs 19,997.31 crore from Rs 16,714.87 crore in the year-ago period.
