Making a mark: GQG Partners EM Equity Fund a hit among US investors

Birla Estates Pvt Ltd, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Century Textiles and Industries Limited and the real estate venture of the Aditya Birla Group, on May 2 announced record sales of its tower Silas at Birla Niyaara that clocked Rs 2,500 crore at launch.According to the company, this has propelled Birla Niyaara’s cumulative sales thus far to over Rs 5,400 crore.

The truncated week has turned out to be a decent one for the Nifty but the last two days have been dodgy. Index heavyweights in the form of private banks are keeping the Nifty upside in check. The weekly options expiry session on Thursday followed a script similar to Thursday. While there was negative newsflow surrounding Kotak Mahindra Bank, ICICI Bank and Axis Bank also followed suit.

In Droneacharaya Aerial Innovations, investor Shankar Sharma sold 2 lakh shares, a 0.83 percent stake at an average price of Rs 153.46. Shankar Sharma had 1.91 percent stake in the company til September 2023. However, the latest shareholding pattern of March 2024 does not figure Sharma as the shareholdings probably fell below 1 percent. Data was not available for shareholding in the December.
