Digital insurance platform RenewBuy is talking to investors to raise Rs 200 crore of equity as it prepares to consolidate its presence in tier 2 and tier 3 cities. The brokerage firm is negotiating with both existing and new investors. “The process has just commenced. Our existing investors are participating along with new investors,” RenewBuy chief executive officer Balachander Sekhar said.

Indian Army and Bank of Baroda have entered into a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) for 'Baroda Military Salary Package'. The MoU was signed by Lt Gen Ravin Khosla, DG(MP&PS) and Shri Vikramaditya Singh Khichi, Executive Director, Bank of Baroda. The MoU lays down the basis on which banking services would be provided by Bank of Baroda to serving and retired personnel of Indian Army.

United Spirits informed exchanges that the company has completed the formalities of selling entire stake held in subsidiary Liquidity Inc. Consequently, Liquidity Inc. ceases to be a subsidiary of United Spirits. Samsung launched its clothing care solution called AirDresser. This product uses air and steam to remove dust, pollutants and germs and also deodorises and sanitize clothes. Consumers can use it in place of a dry cleaner. AirDresser will be available at a price of Rs 1.1 lakh on Samsung’s official online store Samsung Shop and on e-commerce portals Amazon and Flipkart from December 24, 2020.

The Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) might conduct its own due diligence before permitting grounded Boeing Max 737 aircraft to resume service. The DGCA might also base its decision on whether other regulators, such as the European Union Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) permit the aircraft to resume flights. Paytm Payments Bank (PPBL) outperformed all other important banks in India in terms of the success rate of UPI transactions yet again. PPBL has the lowest technical decline rate at 0.02 per cent among all UPI remitter banks and 0.04 per cent among all UPI beneficiary banks, according to the latest report by the National Payments Corporation of India (NPCI).

Glance, a part of SoftBank-backed InMobi Group, on Tuesday said it has closed a USD 145 million (around Rs 1,071.6 crore) investment round from Google and existing investor, Mithril Capital. In September last year, Glance had raised USD 45 million (over Rs 323 crore) in funding from Austin-based Mithril Capital, and the latest round takes the total fundraising by Glance to USD 190 million.

The company will use the fund to fuel market outreach of TaxBuddy's products and deepen the connection with users. TaxBuddy.com was launched in late 2019 as India’s online tax adviser offering for first-time, subscription-based plans of tax advisory.
