Gold and silver futures declined in Friday's trade, tracking global gold prices that fell to a nine-month low, after The US Fed Chair Jerome Powell failed to soothe the bond market, pushing the dollar higher. Gold futures for April delivery fell 0.3 per cent to Rs 44,500 per 10 grams. Silver futures for May delivery were trading at Rs 65,523 per kg, down 0.60 per cent.

Wipro share price witnessed a fall in the morning session on March 5, a day after the Bengaluru-based IT services major said it had acquired Capco, a consultancy firm in the banking and financial services space, for $1.45 billion in its biggest-ever acquisition. The stock was under pressure after some research firms remained underweight on the stock, raising integration concerns.

Jagran Prakashan Limited board has approved buying back shares worth up to Rs118cr. The board of directors of the company approved the buyback of the company's fully paid-up equity shares of the face value of Rs2 each for an aggregate amount not exceeding Rs118cr and at a price not exceeding Rs60 per equity share payable in cash, from its shareholders/ beneficial owners.

Heranba Industries debut at a whopping 43.54% on March 4. It was largely on expected lines given the massive subscription received by its IPO, positive market conditions, strong balance sheet and robust return ratios compared with peers. The Enforcement Directorate (ED) executed searches on Shivalik Group in Mumbai in connection with the Unitech developers case. A team of the Enforcement Directorate from Delhi searched more than a dozen places on March 4. Unitech's Managing Director Sanjay Chandra was in jail under judicial custody since August 2017 for allegedly siphoning off home buyers' money.

The launch of Tata Digital's SuperApp has been postponed again due to pending regulatory approval of the acquisition of e-grocer BigBasket. The app was expected to be launched on March 3, the Tata Group's Founders Day, but has been delayed. The salt-to-steel conglomerate had initially planned to launch the app in late 2020.

Venture debt firm Trifecta Capital closed its second venture debt fund after having invested Rs 900 crore in 38 companies. Launched in March 2019, the fund had a target of Rs 1,000 crore, including a greenshoe option of Rs 250 crore. The firm raised Rs 1,025 crore for it. The fund had a provision to recycle capital and will have an investible corpus of up to Rs 2,560 crore.

Tata Sons chairman N Chandrasekaran said on Wednesday that there is "no dialogue" with the Elon Musk-owned car company for a partnership in India, while adding, "We will do it on our own." It has put to rest all speculation around a partnership of the Indian auto giant with Tesla. He further added products under Tata Motors and JLR are performing well, and there is no need for any outside partner.

Rangoli Tradecomm will raise around Rs 45.15 crore via an initial public offering. The issue will open on 9 March and close on 12 March. The floor price for the issue has been fixed at Rs 207 a share. The net proceeds from the issue will be used for meeting working capital requirements and general corporate purpose. The company, incorporated in 2009 is a leading wholesaler of products.

Apple could face an EU antitrust charge sheet in the coming weeks following a 2019 complaint by music streaming service Spotify. The charge could force changes to Apple's lucrative business model. The European Commission could send the statement of objections setting out suspected violations of the bloc's antitrust rules to Apple before the summer.

Heranba Industries shares will get listed on the exchanges today. The IPO of the Gujarat-based company, which was open between February 23 and February 25, was subscribed over 80 times. Heranba Industries had fixed a price band of Rs 626-627 per share. Many brokerages had recommended subscribe to the Rs 525 crore issue of the crop protection chemical manufacturer, exporter and marketing company.

Broadcom Inc. Chief Executive Officer Hock Tan expressed customers are beefing up semiconductor orders at an unprecedented pace and tried to quell concern that this will create a glut later on. “We see customers accelerating the bookings for early deliveries and attempting to build buffers and creating the demand-supply imbalance you all hear out there," Tan told analysts.

The National Company Law Appellate Tribunal (NCLAT) will hear a case filed by Srei group’s bondholders on 23 March. It challenges an order by the Kolkata bench of the National Company Law Tribunal (NCLT) allowing Srei to skip repayments between 1 January and 30 June. Learned senior counsel for the respondent submits that due to some difficulty, they could not file the documents.

Banks and financial stocks turned out to be favourite bets for Foreign institutional investors (FIIs) in February. FIIs invested $1.96 billion in banking and financial stocks during the month, according to NSDL data analysed by Edelweiss Alternative Research. That represents 55% of the total FII inflows of $3.56 billion into Indian equities in February.
