Samsung is planning to invest up to $17 billion to build a chip-making factory in Arizona, Texas or New York. The electronics company is scouting two locations in and around Phoenix, two locations in and near Austin and a large industrial campus in western New York’s Genesee County, according to sources. Samsung has a contract chip-making business that would be the focus of its new U.S. plant.

The Ministry of Electronics and IT confirmed that the block on certain Chinese apps, including Tiktok, will continue, and has already sent notices to them. The government had blocked 59 Chinese apps in June and 118 more apps, including PUBG mobile game, in September. The Ministry of Information Technology had blocked the apps under Section 69A of the Information Technology Act.

Northern Coalfields Ltd reported that it will achieve and surpass the production target of 113.25 MT for the current fiscal without any challenges. Presently, NCL contributes about 15% to the domestic coal production which is equivalent to more than 10% of power generation of the country. NCL is aiming 130 MT production by 2023-24 in order to contribute in one BT output target of Coal India.
