The rouble fell to a one-month low versus the dollar on Wednesday, ahead of two OFZ treasury bond auctions, with the Russian currency held back by the government's foreign currency sales. The rouble was 0.6% down versus the dollar, trading at 71.59, its lowest level since January 9. It was down 1% against the euro, trading at 76.77, and down 0.7% against the yuan, trading at 10.53.

Adani Ports earnings projections for FY24 & FY25 were cut by 6% by Kotak Institutional Equities, mostly due to the lack of any substantial asset additions in FY24 & the relatively modest addition of assets in FY25. The brokerage also reduced the fair value price from Rs 860 to Rs 810 as a result of the 3rd quarter results. Kotak, however, kept its recommendation to "Buy."

In 2022, the French oil giant TotalEnergies doubled its adjusted net profit to a record $36.2 bn, contributing to the sector's record profits as a result of higher oil & gas prices following Russia's invasion of Ukraine. TotalEnergies' fourth-quarter adjusted net income was $7.6 bn, which included an impairment of $4.1 bn because of the deconsolidation of its ownership part in Novatek.

Diesel costs Rs 94.27 per litre & petrol costs Rs 106.31 per litre in Mumbai. In Kolkata, both petrol & diesel are priced at Rs 106.03/litre & Rs 92.76/litre, as opposed to Rs 102.63/litre & Rs 94.24/litre in Chennai.
