Gujarat Hotels announced their Q4 FY24 results on 18 Apr, 2024, revealing a 1.35% decrease in revenue but a 7.91% increase in profit year-over-year. In comparison to the previous quarter, the company saw a 2.57% growth in revenue and a 10.98% increase in profit. The Selling, general & administrative expenses showed a significant decline of 11.63% quarter-over-quarter and a 21.33% decrease Y/Y.

The Government of India is open to a minority stake sale in General Insurance Corporation of India (GIC) and Life Insurance Corporation of India (LIC) in the financial year 2024/25 after assessing investor appetite, a government source told Reuters on Friday. The government has received good feedback in investor roadshows for GIC.

Zomato has received a GST demand and penalty order of Rs 11.81 crore, for the period from July 2017 to March 2021, the company announced on April 19. The order consists of Rs 5.9 crore GST demand and a penalty of Rs 5.9 crore. Zomato said it would file an appeal against the order before the relevant appellate authority. Shares of Zomato closed 1.78% higher at Rs 188.50 on NSE on April 19.

Air India will soon have a new crew management system that will help strengthen rostering rules and enable faster recovery from scheduled disruptions. In a message to the staff on Friday, Air India CEO and MD Campbell Wilson said that in the next two weeks, there will be the CAE Crew Management System that will ”strengthen our systems’ adherence to rostering rules.

Gems and jewellery exports declined by 12.17% to Rs 2,65,187.95 crore (USD 32,022.08 million) during 2023-24, compared to the previous financial year due to high interest rates in the US and slow recovery in China, Gem and Jewellery Export Promotion Council (GJEPC) data showed. Gems and jewellery exports in FY23 stood at Rs 3,01,925.97 crore (USD 37,646.17 million), according to GJEPC data.

Premier Energies, one of the largest solar cell and solar module manufacturers, has filed preliminary papers with the capital markets regulator SEBI to raise funds via an initial public offering. The IPO consists of a fresh issuance of equity shares worth Rs 1,500 crore by the company, and an offer-for-sale (OFS) of 2.82 crore equity shares by the existing shareholders.
