Mangaluru City Corporation (MCC) is facing a shortage of government land to implement housing projects, resulting in a backlog of pending applications for homes. To address this issue, the MCC has decided to acquire land through transferable development rights (TDR) and is seeking sites of at least three acres. Bharat Petroleum Corp Ltd on Monday reported a consolidated net profit of Rs 3,181.42 crore for the third quarter ended December 31, 2023, against a profit of Rs 1,747.01 crore a year ago, helped by improved refining margins amid softer crude oil prices.
