Jamnagar, Gujarat-based, Akshar Spintex Limited (ASL) was incorporated in June 2013. ASL manufactures carded, combed and compact cotton yarn of finer quality ranging between 16s to 44s counts. The company has a market cap of Rs 76 crore. According to its Quarterly Results, the total increased by 7.5 per cent to Rs 4,883.88 lakh and net profit increased by 37.7 per cent to Rs 95.75 lakh in Q4FY24.

United Spirits Ltd (USL), owned by British multinational alcoholic beverage company Diageo, on Tuesday (May 21) said it has received a notice to pay water charge arrears of ₹345.45 crore from the Water Resources Department, Maharashtra. The notice has been issued by the Water Resources Department (Jalsampada Vibhag), Irrigation Division – Nanded (North), Maharashtra.
