The equity indices continued the previous session's winning run on the second day in a volatile session on January 5 with Nifty50 finishing around the 21,700 level led by buying in the Capital Goods and Information Technology sectors. The Nifty50 index opened higher around 21,750 and hovered around that level in the initial hours. However, erased all the intraday gains and traded flat.
