Sebi gives approval to CRISIL subsidiary to provide ESG ratings

The Securities and Exchange Board of India (Sebi) has given approval to CRISIL ESG Ratings & Analytics Limited to provide environmental, social and governance (ESG) ratings. CRISIL ESG Ratings & Analytics Limited, which is a wholly owned subsidiary of CRISIL Ratings Limited has been approved as a Category 1 provider of ESG ratings, the rating firm said on Thursday.
