Tata Chemicals share price dropped over 4% on Tuesday after the company posted a net loss of ₹841 crore in the fourth quarter of FY24 as against a net profit of ₹692 crore in the same period a year ago. Tata Chemicals said during Q4FY24 it recognised a non-cash write-down of assets with respect to UK (Lostock Plant), aggregating to ₹963 crore which has been disclosed as an exceptional loss.

RBI on Monday proposed a revised regulatory framework for Electronic Trading Platforms in the wake of increased integration of onshore forex market with offshore markets. Market makers too have been requesting RBI to allow access to offshore ETPs offering INR products. ETP is any electronic system, other than a recognised exchange, on which transactions in eligible instruments are contracted.

Manipal Hospitals on Monday said it is acquiring an 87% stake in Kolkata-based hospital chain Medica Synergie in a deal that industry sources said is worth an estimated ₹1,400 crore. The latest acquision will see the Karnataka-based hospital chain increase its bed count from 9,500 currently to more than 10,500, making it the largest healthcare group in the country, it said in a statement.
