NSE, Limaye and eight others pay fine to Sebi to settle TAP case

The National Stock Exchange (NSE), its former chief executive Vikram Limaye and eight others have settled a case of misuse of trading access point (TAP) system by certain brokers with market regulator Sebi by paying ₹643 crore. The eight others who have settled the case include Umesh Jain, GM Shenoy, Narayan Neelakantan, VR Narasimhan, Kamala K, Nilesh Tinaikar, R Nandakumar and Mayur Sindhwad.

IDFC Ltd shares may be in the spotlight next week as shares will be suspended from trading effective October 10, 2024, due to its amalgamation with IDFC First Bank. IDFC shareholders will receive 155 shares of IDFC First Bank for every 100 shares of IDFC. Current F&O contracts will expire on October 9, 2024. The shares of IDFC Ltd closed flat with a positive bias at Rs 109.35 on BSE on Friday.
