A crypto-services startup, Wyre Payments Inc. is to be purchased by a payments-focused financial technology firm, Bolt Financial Inc. in a deal worth $1.5 billion. This acquisition by Bolt Financial would be the largest in the crypto sector which did not involve the participation of a special purpose acquisition company. This agreement came at a time of rising merger activity in the crypto sector.
