Ed Yardeni, President of Yardeni Research, sees a high chance of Fed achieving the target 2% inflation rate by the end of the year. In an interview with CNBC-TV18, he also reiterated his target level of 6,000 for the S&P 500 next year and 6,500 the year after. He noted that while both the headline and core CPI in the US, excluding shelter, are around 2% to 2.2%, the rent inflation remains firm.
