India is set to issue additional investment guidelines under the electric vehicle (EV) policy announced in March, a government official told The Economic Times. Applications from auto companies based in countries sharing a land border with India, such as China, will undergo "much more onerous scrutiny." However, companies already established in India will not need to create new subsidised.

As many as 70% of Nestle India's public shareholders and 57% of total shareholders have voted against the increase in royalty payment to the parent company. The resolution that was being considered included paying as much as 3.25% net of taxes of the net sales of the company's products to its parent company Societe des Produits Nestle SA. The same was to be paid in a staggered manner.

Shares of Sobha fell as much as 5 percent during the special trading session on May 18 after the real estate developer reported disappointing results for the quarter ended March 2024.The Bengaluru-based firm's net profit fell 85 percent on-year to Rs 7 crore for the March FY24 quarter, with subdued topline as well as operating numbers. Its revenue from operations, however, grew 37 percent YoY.
