Infosys, a global leader in next-generation digital services and consulting, will ring the Closing Bell at the New York Stock Exchange (NYSE) on December 11, 2020 to commemorate its eighth anniversary of being listed on the Exchange. Infosys CEO, Salil Parekh, will ring the Closing Bell in a ceremony celebrating the company’s 2020 achievements, including its eight years of trading on NYSE.

Hindustan Oil Exploration Company Limited (HOEC) on Friday increased its participating interest in Block-80 field to 60% from 50%. It secured a medium-term loan facility of Rs150cr. HOEC affirmed that a Deed of Assignment and Assumption will come into effect with Adbhoot Estates Private Limited (Adbhoot) for assigning 10% of its participating interest in favour of HOEC.

British-Swedish drugmaker AstraZeneca will commence a clinical trial to assess safety and immunogenicity its Covid-19 vaccine along with Russia's Sputnik V vaccine. The company claimed that it will start enrolling adults aged 18 years and older to test the combination. Combinations of different COVID-19 vaccines may be crucial in generating wider protection through a stronger immune response.

PNC Infratech bagged Letter of Acceptance (LOA) in a JV with SPML Infra, for an EPC Project dealing with Survey, Design, Preparation of DPR, Construction, Commissioning and O&M for 10years of Rural Water Supply in 952 villages in Devipatan Division of Uttar Pradesh. The project values approximately about Rs952cr, and is to be constructed and put-on trial in 21 months upon signing of the agreement.

The Central Consumer Protection Authority (CCPA) sent notices to 6 firms for false claim of Covid-19 resistant products. It has also directed the Food Safety and Standards Authority of India (FSSAI) to take appropriate action against adulteration of honey by certain brands. The notice was sent to a liquid floor cleaner manufacturer, hand sanitiser manufacturer, and silk dress company among others.

The Board of Directors of S Chand and Company Limited approved the corporate guarantee for an amount of Rs28cr during a meeting held on Thursday. The guarantee is in favour of State Bank of India against the cash credit facility sanctioned to Vikas Publishing House Private Limited. The concern is a wholly-owned subsidiary of the company.

BSE launched an electronic spot platform for agricultural commodities through its subsidiary BSE Investments Ltd. BSE E-Agricultural Markets Ltd (BEAM) will function as a national level, institutionalised, electronic, transparent commodity spot trading platform. Farmers in one state will be able to reach out to markets in other states and auction their produce through BEAM.

Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) has expanded its business operations in Austin, Texas with the construction of a new facility, doubling its presence to more than 400 professionals in the city and adding to its 5,500+ employees across the state. As on December 1, 2020, the total outstanding consolidated order book position of the company is Rs404.66cr of which Rs155.81cr worth of orders is for the Indian market.

The construction arm of Larsen & Toubro turned out as the lowest bidder to construct the main plant of Kudankulam 5&6 units for Nuclear Power Corporation of India Limited. The task includes the construction of reactor building, reactor auxiliary unit, turbine building and other associated safety-related structures for the two new units. The project is scheduled to be over in 64 months.

E-scooter sharing player Bounce said on Friday it plans to add 4,000 more e-scooters to its fleet by February. Currently, electric vehicles (EVs) form 50% of the Bounce fleet in Bengaluru and Hyderabad. The Bengaluru start-up said it intends to transition to a 100% EV fleet by the third quarter of 2021. More than 10,000 vehicles of its fleet to include the company's in-house designed bikes.
