Agritech startup DeHaat bagged $30 Mn in a Series C funding round led by global consumer internet group Prosus Ventures (previously known as Naspers). Existing investors Sequoia Capital India, Entrepreneurial Development Bank FMO, Omnivore and AgFunder also participated in this round. The start-up will use the funding to enhance its network across geographies.

Alembic Pharma announced an 8.69% growth YoY in Dec-20 quarter consolidated revenues at Rs1,314.23cr. Pharma sectors have benefitted from the pandemic as they saw huge advance orders. That is the reason sequential sales are down. For the Dec-20 quarter, the consolidated operating profits were up 12.32% at Rs318.11cr. Consolidated PAT for the Dec-20 quarter was up 24.93% at Rs 292.57 cr.

Petrol price crossed the Rs 85 a litre mark in the national capital and diesel climbed to Rs 75.38 a litre after rates were raised for the second consecutive day. Petrol and diesel prices increased by 25 paise per litre each, according to a price notification from oil marketing companies. This took the petrol price in Delhi to Rs 85.20 per litre and to Rs 91.80 in Mumbai.

Bank of Maharashtra announced a 3.42% growth YoY in revenues in the Dec-20 quarter at Rs 3,577 cr. Even as investment income remained flat due to lower yields, the interest on advances saw a sharp spike in the current quarter compared to the previous year. For the Dec-20 quarter, the operating profits were up 7.18% at Rs902.19cr. Profits after tax (PAT) were up 13.91% at Rs 154.07 cr.

After a gap of two days, the COVID-19 vaccination drive resumed in Mumbai and Pune on Tuesday morning. However, there was no rush of beneficiaries for taking jabs in the metropolis. A doctor at a vaccination centre in Mumbai said the response was slow in the morning, but the process was gradually picking up. The inoculation drive resumed at 9 centres in Mumbai and 28 centres in Pune.

Auto-giant Maruti Suzuki announced the details of the price hike across its models and ranges. Last month, the automaker had already informed exchanges about price hike starting 2021 across its vehicles. The price change varies across models and ranges up to Rs34,000 (Ex-Showroom - Delhi), and the new prices of automobiles will be effective from January 18, 2021.
