The Supreme Court today ruled in favour of Tata Sons and Ratan Tata, by upholding the ouster of Cyrus Mistry as the Executive Chairman of the Tata Conglomerate. The apex court dismissed pleas filed by Cyrus Mistry and set aside the NCLAT (National Company Law Appellate Tribunal) order. The judgement comes after a long legal battle between the two groups that began in 2017.

Laxmi Organic shares extended gains to the second day after debuting on exchanges on Thursday. Today, Laxmi Organic shares rose as much as 18% to Rs 194 as compared Day 1 closing price of Rs 164.6. On Thursday, shares of the speciality chemicals manufacturer had finished with nearly 27% as compared to the issue price of Rs 130. The company's market valuation was at Rs 5,032.00 crore on BSE.

This goods carrier will operate at 40.5 Ton with the lift axle down and at 28 Ton with the lift axle up during light load/partial load/return empty.

SpiceJet Chairman Ajay Singh collaborates with Ras Al Khaimah Investment Authority and Ankur Bhatia, promoter of Delhi-based Bird Group to bid for 100% of national carrier Air India. Singh and Bhatia have expressed interest in the debt-laden airline in their personal capacity. "They are likely to together hold a majority stake in Air India if they get the airline," a source said.

NBCC received around 100 applications for the 52 units, 46 of them residential and six commercial, spread across Amrapali projects in Noida and Greater Noida. It had put up for sale last month and the results of the offline draw are expected to be announced by April 15. The muted subscription to its IPO and bearish trend in the equity market dented sentiment. The stock declined 15.60% to list at Rs 73.90 on the BSE. The public issue of jewellery maker had seen a subscription of 2.61 times.

JM Financial Private Equity has invested Rs 60 crore in Canpac Trends Pvt. Ltd, Mumbai, a Gujarat-based folding carton and packaging solutions company, the PE fund said in a statement. This is the seventh investment by JM Financial India Fund II. Proceeds from the investment will support the augmentation of the existing capacities of the company.

The Shriram Transport Finance banking and Finance Committee on Thursday nodded to the issuance of $225mn Senior Secured Notes to be consolidated and form a single series with the $500 million, 4.40%. This fund-raising is part of STFC’s $3-billion Global Medium Term Note Programme updated on December 24, 2020. The bonds will be listed on Singapore Exchange Securities Trading Limited.

Suryoday Small Finance Bank share price started off the first day of trading at a 4.2% discount at Rs 292 on March 26 on the NSE, amid weak market conditions and muted subscription to IPO. The Rs 582.34 crore public issue was subscribed 2.37 times during March 17-19, the lowest subscription amongst IPOs closed in 2021. The stock opened at Rs 293 on the BSE, down by 3.93% compared to issue price.

AU Small Finance Bank informed that the Bank has allotted 1,23,392 Equity shares of the face value of Rs10/- each on 24th March 2021 pursuant to the exercise of an equivalent number of Employee Stock Options Plans. The paid-up equity share capital of the Bank has increased from Rs3,12,08,99,980 consisting of 31,20,89,998 equity shares having a face value of Rs10/- each to Rs3,12,21,33,900.

Gold and silver futures were trading lower on Friday as elevated Treasury yields and a firm US dollar dented bullion's appeal even as rising covid cases reduced risk appetite for investors. On the Multi Commodity Exchange (MCX), gold futures were down 0.24% or Rs 109 at Rs 44,586 per 10 grams. Silver futures dipped 0.07% or Rs 44 to Rs 64,825 per kg.

Bombay HC has granted time to the RBI and market regulator Sebi to file responses in a petition filed by individual holders of Yes Bank AT1 bonds. The bondholders who had approached the court in February claim that the sale of bonds to them was illegal and have asked for Yes Bank to be directed to deposit Rs160 crore in the high court, pending a decision in the case.
