As part of its plan to set up 75 fitness centres across the country by March 2023 under the new vehicle scrappage policy, the govt has set up fitness centres in seven cities. Vehicle Inspection and Certification Centres is established at Cuttack in Odisha, Lucknow in Uttar Pradesh, Bengaluru in Karnataka, Surat in Gujarat, Nashik in Maharashtra, Rohtak in Haryana and Jhuljhuli in Delhi.

Adani Enterprises Ltd along with its wholly-owned subsidiary Gare Palma II Collieries Pvt Ltd (GPIICPL) inked a deal with Maharashtra State Power Generation Co Ltd (MAHAGENCO) for development and operation of Gare Palma Sector II coal mine. The coal ministry had allocated the coal mine in Raigarh district of Chhattisgarh to MAHAGENCO in 2015, Adani Enterprises revealed in a filing.

Steel Authority of India Ltd (SAIL) achieved its best-ever quarterly sales at 4.27 MT during the March quarter of the last fiscal year, up 14% over the year-ago period. The domestic steel giant's crude steel production too increased by 6% during the quarter to 4.55 MT. The company had clocked 3.74 MT sales and 4.31 MT crude steel output during the January-March quarter of fiscal 2019-20.

The USFDA authorised two changes to Moderna's COVID-19 vaccine that can provide extra doses from each vial. The agency said late Thursday it approved new vials from Moderna that can contain up to 15 doses each, compared with the original vials designed to hold 10 doses. Additionally, regulators said providers can safely extract up to 11 doses from the original 10-dose vials.

As per NCLT directions, the company convened meetings of equity shareholders, lenders and unsecured creditors for consideration of a resolution for transferring the O2C business to a separate subsidiary– Reliance O2C Ltd.

To expand its green energy footprint, telecom operator Bharti Airtel commissioned a captive solar power plant to meet the energy needs of its core and edge data centres in Uttar Pradesh. The facility in Tilhar (Shahjahanpur, UP) is the first of the two solar plants being set up by Airtel in partnership with AMP Energy. The second plant at Begampur is expected to go live in the next quarter.
