Platinum Industries IPO opens for subscription today (Tuesday, February 27), and will close on Thursday, February 29. Platinum IPO raised ₹70.59 crore from anchor investors on Monday, February 26. The company notified the exchange that it allocated 41,28,237 equity shares at ₹171 apiece. Platinum Industries IPO price band has been fixed in the range of ₹162 to ₹171 per equity.

Whirlpool Corporation CEO Marc Bitzer has said that the company is “positive on India”, adding that the 24 percent stake sale this month was a way to make the most of high valuations. “We’ve taken down our stake to 51%. We’re positive on India long term but when our share is trading at 50 times multiple & we expect it to be much lower, then it’s an asset arbitrage," Bitzer.

Chipmaker Broadcom CEO Hock Tan's annual compensation more than doubled to $161.8 million in 2023, a filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) showed on Monday. Tan's 2023 pay, which was fueled by stock awards of $160.5 million, was 510 times the median salary of employees at the chip firm. His pay in 2022 came in at $60.6 million, with $53.9 million in stock awards.

Canara Bank: On Monday, The public sector lender said its board approved the split of each share into five shares, in an exchange filing. Canara Bank added that the move is aimed "to improve the liquidity of the Bank’s share and to make it affordable for retail investors and also to broaden the retail investors base". Oil prices ticked up in early Asian trading on Monday, extending gains for the third straight day, as shipping disruptions spurred supply worries. Brent crude futures rose 16 cents, or 0.2%, to $82.69 a barrel by 0106 GMT, while U.S. West Texas Intermediate crude futures (WTI) climbed 15 cents, or 0.2%, to $77.73 a barrel.
