Policybazaar shares jump 7% on IRDAI's license upgrade for PB Fintech's arm

PB Fintech's subsidiary, Policybazaar has been upgraded to a 'Composite Insurance Broker' from a 'Direct Insurance Broker' by the insurance regulator. This move is expected to improve reinsurance pricing for the company and allow it to deepen insurance penetration in India. The company received target upgrades from brokerages such as Morgan Stanley, BofA, Kotak Institutional Equities, and more.

Tata Communications raises $250 mn sustainability linked loan

Tata Communications has raised $250-million loan from ANZ, DBS and Export Development Canada for five years under the sustainability-linked loan (SLL) framework, chief financial officer Kabir Ahmed Shakir said. The company will look at the framework for long term debt financing and refinancing of existing debt, he said. Tata Communications’ debt was ₹9,126 crore as of the quarter ended March 2024.
