India pharma companies develop versions of Wegovy

Indian drugmakers are developing their own versions of Novo Nordisk's popular weight-loss drug Wegovy, as analysts predict the global weight-loss market to reach $100 billion by the end of the decade. The move could increase access and affordability of weight-loss drugs in India, which has high obesity rates and a growing market for diabetes drugs. While Novo Nordisk holds the patent for Wegovy.
