ICICI Bank hikes fixed deposit (FD) rates. How they compare with others?

ICICI Bank has raised interest rates on select fixed deposit (FD) tenures, offering a maximum return of 7.75% to senior citizens. The latest hike is effective from 17 February and the highest interest rate is for deposits maturing in 15 months to two years. This follows similar moves by HDFC Bank, SBI, and Kotak Mahindra Bank, which have also raised their FD interest rates for customers.
