Farmers in Maharashtra have sown rabi crops over 5.5 million hectares, a 26% increase from last year, with chana acreage up 20% to 2.5 million hectares, and wheat acreage rising to 1.0 million hectares. The state has achieved 102.7% of its normal acreage, with water levels in dams at 79.3% of live storage capacity.

NTPC Green Energy share price declined nearly 6% in early trade on Thursday after the one-month lock-in period for the company’s anchor investors expired today. NTPC Green Energy shares plunged as much as 5.93% to ₹125.20 apiece on the BSE. NTPC Green Energy shares were listed on Indian stock exchanges on November 29. The lock-in period for 50% shares held by anchor investors ended today.
