Exide Industries shares in focus after Q2 profit drops 14%

Shares of battery maker Exide Industries will be in focus after the company reported a 13.66% decline in consolidated profit after tax (PAT) to Rs 233.4 crore for the September quarter, impacted by higher expenses. In the same quarter last year, the company posted a consolidated PAT of Rs 270.32 crore. Meanwhile, Exide’s consolidated revenue from operations for the quarter was Rs 4,450 crore.
