ED seeks look out notice against Byju's founder Byju Raveendran

ED has requested a look out notice against Byju's founder Byju Raveendran to prevent him from leaving India before the Extraordinary General Meeting on Feb 23. Karnataka High Court denied a stay on the meeting called by investors to remove Raveendran from leadership. In November 2023, ED issued a show cause notice to Think and Learn Pvt Ltd for violating FEMA provisions involving Rs 9,362.35 cr.

At 02:00 p.m. the DJIA fell 482.30 points, or 1.13%, to 42,154.37, the S&P 500 lost 55.59 points, or 0.94%, to 5,862.66 and the Nasdaq Composite lost 187.52 points, or 0.96%, to 19,291.03.
