According to the budget documents, the Indian government plans to receive a dividend of Rs 1.02 lakh crore in 2024-25 from the Reserve Bank of India and state-run banks. This is lower than the revised estimate of Rs 1.04 lakh crore for 2023-24. The increase in the current year's estimate is due to the RBI transferring a larger dividend of Rs 87,416 crore in May 2023.
