Consumer durables maker Whirlpool of India Ltd on Friday (November 8) reported a 25.4% year-on-year (YoY) decline in net profit at ₹287 crore for the second quarter that ended September 30, 2024. In the corresponding quarter of the previous fiscal, Whirlpool of India posted a net profit of ₹384.7 crore, the company said in a regulatory filing.

Snacks maker Haldiram Bhujiwala on Thursday said it has raised Rs 235 crore from Pantomath's Bharat Value Fund (BVF) in lieu of a minority stake through private placement. In a statement, the company that retails its products under the brand 'Prabhuji' said it will use the funds to expand its manufacturing and markets outside of eastern and northeastern markets.

The State Bank of India (SBI) categorised Rashtriya Ispat Nigam (RINL), a public sector steel manufacturer, under the Special Mention Account 1 (SMA-1) category in the second quarter of FY25, sources informed CNBC-TV18. SBI’s statement clarified that the SMA-1 designation included a long-term government sector client with a fund-based outstanding amount of approximately ₹9,000 crore.
