Conservative retail investors who prefer fixed deposits (FDs) as savings instruments of choice now have one more option: 'special-rate' short-term FD schemes that cater to specific investment horizons. Leading banks like Bank of Baroda (BoB), Indian Bank and State Bank of India (SBI) have extended the special tenure deposit schemes till March 31, 2025, originally introduced in mid-2024.

The SME initial public offering (IPO) of Capital Numbers Infotech was fully subscribed on Wednesday with an overall subscription of 11.47 times as of 10:00 AM on the final day of bidding. The company aims to raise Rs 169 crore through the SME IPO, with the shares set to list on the BSE SME platform. The retail portion of the issue was subscribed by 16.04 times.

State-run Housing and Urban Development Corporation (HUDCO) Ltd., reported a 42% growth in its net profit in comparison to the same quarter last year. Net profit for the quarter stood at ₹735 crore, in comparison to the ₹519 crore it reported during the same quarter last year. Additionally, three NPA in the project loans have been resolved, according to the company.
