CreditAccess Grameen garnered $25mn in external commercial borrowing from Sweden’s development finance institution, Swedfund International. The first tranche of $15 million had already been disbursed. This is the first foreign currency ECB for India's largest NBFC-MFI by gross loan portfolio. The lender with Rs 11,341 crore loan outstanding at the end of March caters to nearly 29 lakh borrowers.

Goldman Sachs announced its new office in Hyderabad will employ more than 2,000 staff by 2023. The company, on Monday, announced the opening of its new office as part of its commitment to expand its global centre for engineering and business innovation and in India. The new facility was inaugurated by Telangana IT and Industries Minister KT Rama Rao.

Tencent Holdings will acquire video game company Sumo Group in a deal that values the British firm at 919 million pounds ($1.27 billion). Sumo's shareholders will get 513 pence in cash per share, Tencent said. The offer is at a 43% premium to Sumo's last closing price of 358 pence. The share gained multifold since its listing on LSE's junior market AIM in 2017 at 100 pence.

Spinny garnered USD 108 million in a funding round led by Tiger Global and New York-based Avenir Growth. The latest round of capital infusion in Spinny, an online platform for selling used cars comes close on the heels of USD 65 million funds injected in the company in the Series C round in April this year. The overall funds raised by Spinny to date stands at USD 230 million.

Maruti Suzuki India, on Monday, announced it has partnered with the Bank of Maharashtra for offering inventory financing to its dealer partners. This is the first time that the Bank of Maharashtra will be offering dealer inventory financing to the automaker's dealers. Bank of Maharashtra's Mahabank Channel Financing scheme will provide comprehensive financing opportunities for Maruti Suzuki.

FedEx Express, a subsidiary of FedEx Corp entered into an equity and commercial agreement with Delhivery, a leading logistics and supply chain services company in India to utilize their combined strengths to unlock India’s international trade potential. As part of the collaboration, FedEx will make a US$100 million equity investment in Delhivery.

Tatva Chintan Pharma Chem IPO continued to see healthy demand from investors as it was subscribed 7.39 times by the morning of July 19, the second day of bidding. The offer has received bids for 2.40 crore equity shares against the IPO size of 32.61 lakh equity shares. The portion set aside for retail investors has been subscribed 16.32 times and that of non-institutional investors 3.76 times.

Larsen & Toubro (L&T), on Monday, announced its construction unit secured orders in the overseas and domestic market. Though the infrastructure giant did not provide the exact valuation of the contracts, they fall under the "significant" category, which ranges between Rs 1,000 crore and Rs 2,500 crore, according to the classification of contracts.

Bank of Maharashtra generated Rs403.70cr through via qualified institutions placement (QIP) issue of equity shares. The Bank’s issue committee on July 17, 2021, nodded to the allotment of over Rs17.03cr equity shares of the face value of Rs10 to eligible qualified institutional buyers (QIB) at the issue price of Rs23.70 per equity share against the floor price of Rs24.89 per share.

Agritech Startup Otipy raised $10.2mn from investors including SIG and Omidyar Network to expand business. The Series A funding of USD 10.2 million was led by SIG. Omidyar Network India, Innoven Capital and existing investors IPV (Inflection Point Ventures), Pravega, and FactorE also participated in the round. The firm markets fresh vegetables, fruits and other grocery items through its app.

Eka.Care garnered a seed funding of $4.5 Mn from several leading angel & early-stage investors. Anjani Portland Cement bought another 33,23,423 or (2.38%) equity shares of Bhavya Cements, a subsidiary of the company, from its existing shareholders at a price of Rs52.59 per share. This has resulted in an increase in the company's shareholding in Bhavya Cements to 91.52%. Post the publication of this news, Anjani Portland shares touched a fresh 52-week high of Rs499.65 per piece on Monday.
