Normally, such hammer formation after a reasonable decline calls for an impending trend reversal on the upside post-confirmation. The short-term trend of the Nifty remains weak.

The global smartphone market had an eventful Q3 in 2024. As per a Counterpoint research report, the market saw growth in both the number of phones sold and the revenue earned. The government has revised its gold import figures for November 2024 to $9.84 billion from $14.86 billion, as per data uploaded on the Commerce Ministry’s Directorate General of Commercial Intelligence and Statistics on January 8.
