Zara has closed its five-story flagship store in Mumbai's Hutatma Chowk after nearly eight years. High rent of ₹2.25 crore/month reportedly exceeded sales. The store, opened in 2017 as Zara's largest in India, was part of a joint venture with Tata's Trent. Purple Style Labs has leased the space for ₹36 crore/year to retail luxury brands.
