US junks 15 shipments of mangoes exported from India

The US rejected at least 15 shipments of mangoes from India due to documentation lapses related to irradiation, a mandatory process for US-bound exports. The shipments, valued at $500,000, were discarded as they were perishable. Exporters claimed the issue stemmed from errors at a USDA-supervised facility in Mumbai, with the APEDA directing inquiries to the facility.
