Travel insurance may cover costs due to visa rejections

Indian leisure travellers planning trips to Schengen countries in Europe face visa rejection hurdles, derailing holiday plans and incurring losses. To mitigate this, insurers are introducing visa rejection riders, optional covers at an additional premium, to cover trip cancellation expenses, visa application fees, and other related costs, typically ranging from Rs 2,654 to Rs 4,091.
