Sebi drops NDTV disclosure case without penalty

SEBI closed adjudication proceedings against NDTV without imposing a monetary penalty. The case, linked to a 2009 financing arrangement with VCPL, stemmed from SEBI's 2018 order concluding VCPL indirectly acquired NDTV control. A subsequent SAT ruling overturned the order, citing arrangement as a commercial financing transaction, & SEBI's proceedings against NDTV were disposed of without penalty.
