Rupee rises 7 paise to close at 83 against US dollar

On Monday, the Indian rupee gained 7 paise against the US dollar, closing at 83. This was due to a weaker dollar and lower crude oil prices. However, domestic markets and foreign fund outflows limited the gains. The rupee is expected to remain slightly positive with support from global equities and a weaker dollar. The upcoming CPI and IIP data will be important for traders.
