Retail inflation for industrial workers eases to 3.86% in May

Retail inflation for industrial workers decreased to 3.86% in May 2024, down from 4.42% in May 2023. The CPI-IW rose 0.5 points to 139.9 in May, with food and beverages increasing to 145.2 points, while fuel and light segment declined to 149.5 points. The moderation in inflation is a positive sign for the economy, indicating a decline in cost of living for industrial workers.
