Reliance Industries sells 85 lakh shares of Asian Paints for Rs 1,876 cr

Billionaire Mukesh Ambani-led Reliance Industries sold 85 lakh shares (0.88% stake) of Asian Paints for Rs 1,876 crore through an open market transaction. ICICI Prudential Mutual Fund acquired the shares, increasing its holding to 2.12% from 1.24%. Asian Paints' stock rose 1.21% to close at Rs 2,241 per share on the NSE.
