Privacy app maker Proton transitions to non-profit foundation structure

Proton, a Swiss-based tech company, is transitioning to a new non-profit foundation model, following Signal and Mozilla's path. This shift will allow Proton to maintain its independence and commit to its mission of protecting online privacy. Financially, this move will enable Proton to allocate more resources to developing its products, such as ProtonMail and ProtonVPN, and increase transparency.
