Parineeti Chopra-backed Clensta founder admits fudging books

In yet another instance of corporate governance lapses at a startup, the co-founder and CEO of Clentsa, Puneet Gupta, has admitted that he had overstated financials and misled investors. The development comes days after Moneycontrol reported that personal-care brand Clensta, backed by actor Parineeti Chopra, was in advanced talks to raise $10 mn (around Rs 83 crore) in a Series B funding round.
