Paramount boosts Warner Bros breakup fee to $5 billion

Paramount Skydance Corp. increased its breakup fee offer to acquire Warner Bros. Discovery Inc. to $5 billion, from a proposed $2.1 billion, as part of a sweeter proposal to outshine rival bids. The bid is for all of Warner Bros., while Netflix and Comcast anticipate a spinoff of cable networks. Warner Bros. weighs offers from the three media companies.
